Violinist/Violist Lydia Favorito is currently a freelance musician and violin instructor in Orange and Los Angeles Counties, California. A talented violinist from a young age, she was a frequent winner of competitions across Southern California, such as the VOCE Competition, Musical Arts Club of Orange County, and Orange County Youth Symphony Concerto Competition.

Lydia holds a Bachelor's Degree in Violin Performance from Chapman University, and a Master's Degree in Violin Performance from Bowling Green State University.



        As an orchestral musician, she has performed with the Lima Symphony Orchestra (OH), Dearborn Symphony Orchestra (MI), Perrysburg Symphony Orchestra (OH), Symphony Irvine (CA), Corona Symphony (CA), and others. She also performed alongside members of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra in the accompanying orchestra for Micheal W. Smith's Christmas concert in Detroit in 2013. She currently performs with her husband and bassoonist, Andrew Favorito in Duo Favorito.
