WHAT INSTRUMENTS DO YOU TEACH?

We offer 30, 45, and 60 minute lessons in piano, guitar, violin, viola, cello, clarinet, bassoon and theory.

WHAT ARE THE GOALS OF THE CLASSES?

Learning music rewires the brain and teaches us to find unusual connections, make hard and quick decisions and solve complex problems. These skills are fundamental and will allow students to excel in everything in their lives. When you learn music, you learn a combination of cognitive skills that will help to advance in math, writing and communication. Our primary goal is to nurture and foster students' creativity empowering them to love, enjoy, and appreciate playing music once they grow into adults.

WHAT IS A SCHEDULE?

We offer only private lessons and, therefore, the schedule is based on teacher's and students' availablity. We do our best to accomodate schedule requests. We offer classes on the week days, as well as on weekends.

HOW EARLY CAN WE START TAKING LESSONS?

Almost every child is ready to take music lessons at 5 years of age. Some children show an interest in music even at a younger age. For these kids we recommend scheduling a consultation to decide whether it is a right time to start.

HOW OFTEN DO CHILDREN PERFORM?

We offer two student recitals per year. Besides playing at the recitals, we encourage and prepare our student to participate in competitions and auditions.

DO YOU PREPARE FOR IRVINE HONOR ORCHESTRA?

We have an intensive program for kids who want to try getting into Irvine Honor Orchestra and our students audition with the highest rate of success among other music schools in Irvine: in 2017, 33% of cello section of Irvine Elementary Honor Orchestra were students from Russian School of Music. We also prepare students for San Juan Capistrano and All Southern Honor Orchestras, Orange County Youth Symphony, Santiago Strings and Pacific Youth Symphony.

DO YOU PREPARE STUDENTS FOR COMPETITIONS?

We are delighted to help our students pushing their limits and participating in schools', local and state competitions, such as SYMF, Bach's Festival, MTAC, VOCE and e.t.c.

DO YOU PREPARE FOR CM OR ROYAL CONCERVATORY EXAM?

We do offer our students to enroll into CM and Royal Conservatory Exam preparing them for both, performance and theory parts.

WHAT IF I'M LATE TO A CLASS?

Classes are private and scheduled back to back. Therefore it is important to come on time, so next students won't need to wait.

WHAT IF I MISS A CLASS?

If you cannot make to a class and give us a 24 hour notice, you may get a makeup lesson withing the next month. A makeup class must be scheduled within four (4) weeks. If you miss a makeup, there is no rescheduling allowed for that makeup or original class you missed. Students are allowed to get two makeup classes per half a year in a case of last minute (less than 24 hours in advance) cancellation. For other last minute cancellations no makeup classes shell be given.

WHAT IS A TUITION?

Tuition is due on the 7th day of the month for the entire month. Tuition depends on the length of the lessons and their friquency per week.

LESSON TERMINATION POLICY

We require a 30 day notice to terminate classes.
